Hey all,
I'm just writing to let you all know that on Monday, June 22nd, I got my 2nd dog from the Seeing Eye. She's a beautiful German Shepard named Chelsea, and she's wonderful. At first I don't know if she knew what to do with me, because she cried all day, but I tried to comfort her and all and spend time with her, and it's starting to pay off. We're working in harness pretty much all the time now and she's an excelent worker. She reminds me a lot of my first guide because she's not very high energy and she eats like a lab and she loves to play, so I'm glad about that. I think we'll make an awesome team and I can't wait to see how our relationship will progress. But anyway, I might update here again, but i thought I'd let everyone know about my new baby girl.

Thanks to everyone that has posted so far. Yes she is very sweet. She acts so much like a lab, and I love it. lol. But she's got such a pretty coat and such a great personality. And yes Pebbles, you'll get to see her next month. I can't wait for that either. Breakfast will be served any minute now, so I should probably sign off of here, so I'll message later.

Well today I found out how big she is and how old she is and all that. She's 22 and a half inches tall, a little bit bigger than my last dog. She's 57 pounds, and she's almost 3 years old. I thought for some reason she'd be younger, but it's ok. I guess that's why she's such an excelent guide and so mellow and all that. So the day after I get home, I celebrate her birthday lol. Then my retired guide's birthday is 3 days after hers, and he'll be ten. So weird, but cool at the same time. lol. I have no idea what I'm going to do on my day off tomorrow, or for the rest of the day here either, but I'll figure it out. So anyway, I thought I'd update here and let you all know the info, since I was so anxious to know.

Chelsea is a great name and sounds so ladylike for a German Shepard!

My best wishes to you both!
